Dr Johannes Wittmann

Dr Johannes Wittmann has been in specialist gastroenterology practice at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, since 2004 and in private practice with Mater Hill Gastroenterology since 2011.

He graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1994 and completed specialist training in Sydney and London from 2001-2004. He works at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, and Mater Private Hospital Redland.  

He provides comprehensive gastroenterology and endoscopic services, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy including cancer screening and complex large polyp removal, endoscopic ultrasound, small bowel capsule endoscopy, ERCP and interventional endoluminal stenting. His clinical interests include screening colonoscopy and complex endoscopic interventions.

Dr Wittmann has a longstanding commitment to medical education and has been a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians National Examination Panel since 2010, contributing regularly to clinical examinations across Australia.

He consults with Mater Hill Gastroenterology at the Salmon Building and treats private inpatients at the Mater Private Hospital, Brisbane.
